Driving
Meet at the Daleville Commuter lot. Drive north US-220 to US-64. Continue straight ahead, leaving US-220, into the park to the visitor center for permits.

There are many options for hikes of any length at Douthat. Here are two:

Douthat West
This 10-mile hike combines six trails to form a loop of about 10 miles. The hike provides lake side walking before entering the woods and the climb to the top of the mountain. It provides views from Tuscarora Overlook and Lookout Rock. It also passes by Blue Suck Falls and follows the creek back to the starting point.

_ Douthat East

Douthat East
This 11-mile hike combines Brushy Hollow Trail, Mountain Top Trail, Mountain Side Trail, Beards Gap Trail, Beards Gap Hollow Trail, Locust Gap Trail to Stony Run Trail and Stony Run Trail some nice views of the lake and mountains.
