Join us for one of the premiere hikes in the U.S. and one
that the club does not often offer. Most of this hike will be on trails at over
5,000 of elevation. This hike will start at Massie Gap in Grayson Highlands
State Park. The trail will follow the open mountain bald of Wilburn Ridge
to the heavily wooded summit of Mount Rogers, at 5,729 feet, the highest point
in Virginia. There are many semi-wild ponies in the open meadows along
the trail.
