From Route 632 in Johns Creek Valley we will climb up Lone Pine Peak in the Mountain Lake Wilderness Area on the Appalachian Trail. We will pass the War Spur shelter along the way. We will stop at Wind Rock and retrace our steps. There are expansive views of the surrounding mountains from Wind Rock. The elevation gain on the hike is 2000 feet. for this hike.
