Apple Orchard Mountain Loop

Hike begins at the Sunset Fields Overlook, Blue Ridge Parkway Mile-78.4. We go north on the AT over Apple Orchard Mountain passing the Guillotine, crossing the BRPW at the Orchard Mountain Overlook, Mile-76.5.  We come back to the BRP at the Hunting Creek Trail (more like a gated road) just south of the Thunder Ridge Overlook, BRP Mile-74.7. We head down the road to the Glenwood Horse Trail where we stay to the right heading south. We will pass the old site of Camp Kewanzee and back up to BRPW right below the Sunset Field Overlook. Good views on the Horse Trail and on Apple Orchard Mountain.
