Terrapin Mt - Reeds Creek Loop

We will assemble at the Daleville Park and Ride.
Terrapin Mountain is near Big Island in Bedford County. The trail gets little traffic as it is not accessible from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hike starts from Terrapin Mt Rd. The first 3.5 miles is a steep ascent to the summit. We will pass over three false summits before the peak with some great views. Dropping slightly down, we will reach Camping Gap and pick up Reeds Creek Trail. The trail follows the creek down with cascading water and pools before intersecting the Terrapin Mt. Trail once again.
