This hike is located in Craig County. Starting in Sinking Creek Valley it will head south on the A.T., climbing John’s Creek Mountain to Kelly Knob.  It will pass Laurel Creek shelter along the way. There are great views of the New River Valley from the top of Kelly Knob. It will descend the mountain into scenic John’s Creek’s Valley. There is 1,600 feet of elevation gain on this hike.
